Ceramic Filter Factory produces porous ceramic filter, which are used to filter solid impurities contained in molten aluminum. The removal of entrained solids from the liquid is accomplished by passing the solid-laden aluminum liquid through a porous filter medium that does not pass through the solids.
Molten aluminum usually contains entrained solids, which are harmful to the final cast metal product. These entrained solids usually have the following sources.
Some are alumina particles, the floating oxide layer on the surface sucks them into the liquid stream.
Some of the entrained particles are fragments from the furnace lining, conveying trough and other parts of the molten aluminum processing equipment, which are eroded and entrained in the furnace.
In the flowing aluminum stream, some particles are precipitates of insoluble impurities, such as intermetallic compounds, borides, carbides, or other aluminum compounds (such as chlorides).
When these impurities appear in the final cast product after the molten aluminum has solidified, they can cause the ductility of the final product to decrease or the finishing characteristics of the final product to be poor. porous ceramic filter Manufacturers Email:sales@alalloycasting.com
porous ceramic filter Factory impregnates the foam material with the foam material to coat the mesh with it and basically fills the voids with it.
The impregnated material is then compressed to discharge about 80% of the slurry, and the balance is evenly distributed throughout the foam material, preferably, so that some holes are blocked in a uniformly distributed manner to increase the degree of tortuosity.
The compression is released so that the web remains covered by the slurry and the material is dried.
The dried material is then heated to burn out the flexible organic foam first, and then the ceramic coating is sintered to provide a molten ceramic foam with a plurality of interconnected voids surrounded by a bonded or fused ceramic mesh constructed by the flexible foam.
