What is the difference between Cat6 and Cat6A of wholesale UTP CAT6 Cables?
Cat6A supports twice the bandwidth frequency of Cat6 cables, and can support 10 Gigabit Ethernet at 100 meters (327 feet). At these speeds, Cat6 cabling can only transmit up to 37 meters (165 feet or less). Cat6A cables must be manufactured to higher performance specifications, and usually have construction technology that improves the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the original Cat6. According to the ANSI/TIA 568 C.2 specification, Cat6 supports a frequency of 250 MHz and a transmission speed of 1 Gigabit at 328 feet (100 meters). Cat6A cables must support a bandwidth frequency of 500 MHz and support 10 Gigabit speeds to the maximum length (100 meters or 328 feet) that any Ethernet cable can run. The ANSI/TIA Cat5e specification is a trivial 100 MHz, which is considered to be almost insufficient for 1 Gigabit transmission at the same distance.
