What is Steam Solenoid Valve?
Solenoids and electromagnets are not technically the same thing, but people speak as if they are the same. An electromagnetic is a coil, but when you pass the current through it, an electromagnet is created for you. Since this is by far the most useful application of coils, it is not surprising that when you say the word "Steam Solenoid Valve", people tend to think you are referring to electromagnets. Electromagnets are particularly useful because, unlike ordinary magnets, they can be turned on and off, and strengthened by increasing the current flowing through them.
How does the electromagnet work?
When the lazy charge sits on its sofa and does nothing, it will be surrounded by electric fields. This makes sense because it is an electric charge after all. But once this charge gets some momentum and runs around the block, it will suddenly generate a magnetic field. This may surprise you, and you will not be alone! As physicists later discovered, these two fields are part of the same natural force: electromagnetic force.
Because of this, we can make magnets by simply passing a current through wires. However, when we pass current through the solenoid, we get a super-strong magnet because the magnetic field is concentrated inside the coil. This is very useful in our daily life.
