In Pokémon Go, Dragon types will make fierce enemies considering the high damage output many can deal with. They're not completely defenseless, however. Ice-type Pokémon are definitely the perfect counter to this particular threat.
Whether you're rising against a Grass, Ground, Flying, or Dragon-type Shiny Pokemon opponent, Ice-type species include the best option. Here would be the strongest Ice-type Pokémon in Pokémon Go.
One of the extremely recently introduced Pokémon amongst players, Galarian Darmanitan would be the Ice version on the more commonly known fifth-generation Fire-type Pokémon. It's also one of the best Ice-type attackers hanging around. Galarian Darmanitan boasts over 3,500 max CP having a base stat allocation tailor-made for attacking. If you're getting larger against a competitor who is at risk of Ice attacks, this Pokémon should be able to make short work of those with its incredibly high damage per second at a combination of Ice attacks.
It has come about as no surprise which a Mega Evolution made its way onto this list. Mega Abomasnow is an excellent Ice-type Pokémon that will also become a Grass-type when necessary. This dual typing grants Abomasnow usage of more moves and fewer resistances, but Fire-type enemies will deal critical damage, thus it would be advised to steer clear of those matchups.
The basic attribute distribution of Mega Abomasnow is balanced, and Pokémon can be used for offense and defense as needed. In this case, Buy Shiny Pokemon is a great choice. The best moves to promote the best offense are Razer Leaf and Weather Ball. Sometimes, although the damage output of the battle is statistically low, it may be better to replace the Razer Leaf with Powder Snow.
Since this Pokémon is often a Mega Evolution, players won't always have to have access to these powerful stats. But even during its base form, Abomasnow is undoubtedly exceptional Ice-type Pokémon.
