This coupling mechanism consists of a twist and snap design featuring interlocking studs and slots. The bayonet connection is most recognisable in its use on BNC connectors. This type of mating mechanism is often chosen when applications require quick connection, with the tactile ‘snap’ providing positive confirmation.Get more news about Bayonet Lock Coupling, you can vist our website!

BNC “Bayonet Neill–Concelman” are a two-stud bayonet-style connector designed for quick mating. BNC connectors are one of the worlds most popular type of RF connector. Originally designed for early military communications, BNC connectors are now commonly used in UHF, radio, electronic equipment, and broadcast up to 4 GHz.

C “Concelman”, or Type-C, are a two-stud bayonet-style connector designed for quick mating, similar in size to the N connector. The connector has been designed as a weatherproof alternative to BNC and offers an 11 GHz cutoff frequency as the improved design eliminates the radiating slot issue restricting BNC to 4 GHz. Originally designed for early military communications, C connectors can be found in modern day UHF communication systems although their usage is quite rare.

HD-BNC ” High Density Bayonet Neill–Concelman” are a two-stud bayonet-style connector designed for quick mating. The connector is nearly identical to traditional BNC but 51% smaller in size, achieving four times higher density for the same surface area. The design also improves electrical performance, with Amphenol quoting data rates in excess of 3 Gbps over 190 m. Like ordinary BNC connectors, the series is also available in a 75 Ω variation.

The Miniature High Voltage (MHV) connectors are a two-stud bayonet style mating series designed for, low frequency, high voltage applications up to 5 kV. While similar in appearance, MHV will not mate with BNC series due to the elongated dielectric, required achieve a voltage rating of up to 1,600 Vrms and 5,000 Vdc peak. While their nominal impedance is listed as 50 Ω, it’s important to note this figure is non-constant. The MHV connector interface is standardised under MIL-STD-348B.

Mini-BNC are a 75 Ω two-stud bayonet-style connector designed for quick mating. The connector is nearly identical to traditional BNC but 40% smaller in size. Designed as a bayonet-locking replacement for non-locking SMB and SMZ connectors. Most manufacturers specify Mini-BNC with a cutoff frequency range of 2 GHz, with select manufacturers providing connectors operating up to 4 GHz. The connector interface has not been standardised.

The Safe High Voltage (SHV) connectors are a reverse-polarised two-stud bayonet style mating series designed for low frequency, high voltage applications up to 5 kV. SHV will not mate with MHV or BNC series due to the easily recognised elongated dielectric and reversed contact genders, required achieve a voltage rating of up to 3,500 Vrms and 5,000 Vdc peak. The SHV connector interface is standardised under MIL-STD-348B and IEC 60498.
