Introduce several common rivet nuts

  •

Blind rivet nuts, also known as rivet nuts, pull caps, and instant pull caps, are used in the fastening fields of various metal sheets, pipes and other manufacturing industries. They are currently widely used in sheet metal, sheet metal, chassis and cabinets, guardrails, automobiles, aviation, railways, refrigeration, elevators, switches, instruments, furniture, decorations and other electromechanical and light industrial products assembly.

Developed to solve the defects of easy melting of metal sheet and thin tube welding nuts, easy slippage of tapped internal threads, etc. The functional characteristics of the rivet nut: If the nut of a product needs to be installed on the outside, and the inner space is small, the indenter of the sub-riveting machine cannot be allowed to enter the riveting and the method of sprouting cannot meet the strength requirements, then the riveting and Riveting is not feasible, and a rivet nut must be used at this time. It is suitable for the fastening field of plates and pipes of various thicknesses (0.5MM-6MM).

The use of pneumatic or manual riveting guns can be riveted at one time, which is convenient and firm and replaces the traditional welding or press-fitting process. Relative advantages to other processes: stronger than pressure riveting nuts, more convenient than welding nuts (no solder joints).

There are many types of rivet nuts. Commonly used are the flat head, countersunk head, full-external hex rivet nuts, semi-external hex rivet nuts, and blind-hole rivet nuts.

Flat head rivet nuts (light column and vertical pattern)

The cylindrical end of the flat head rivet nut is divided into two types: light column and column pattern. The commonly used one is the column pattern. After riveting, the head is exposed on the thin sheet, and the column pattern can play the role of anti-skid. The flat head rivet nut is also one of the rivet nuts. The strongest and most common kind. National standard: GB/T17880.1

Countersunk rivet nuts (90 degree large countersunk head)

Riveted in a thin plate hole with a chamfer, and the head plane is level with the plate surface after installation. Available materials: carbon steel galvanized, aluminum, and 304 stainless steel rivet nuts, of which: countersunk head rivet nuts (large countersunk head) are also available in columnar patterns. National standard: GB/T17880.2

Hex rivet nuts (half hex rivet nuts)

Material: carbon steel galvanized, aluminum, and 304 stainless steel rivet nuts, production specifications: M4~M12. The hexagonal rivet nut is installed in the hexagonal plate hole because of its hexagonal shape, which completely prevents slippage, can withstand more torque, and can still be riveted firmly even if the thread is damaged after testing. The installation method of the hexagonal rivet nut is exactly the same as that of the ordinary rivet nut, except that the plate hole needs to be punched into a suitable hexagonal shape. National standard: GB/T17880.5.
