A port of Rocket League onto Rocket League Items each subsequent-gen platforms is more likely than a sequel being made and released. Back in 2018, Scott Rudi (the then game director) informed Gamespot that a sequel is unlikely. Rudi explained that Psyonix sees Rocket League as a recreation-as-a-carrier, telling Gamespot that Psyonix desires to “offer a truely right enjoy… for years to come.” Rudi delivered that Psyonix doesn’t recognize what it’d do with Rocket League 2 and was as an alternative focussing on expanding Rocket League. Psyonix has “no plans for Rocket League 2.”
Nothing has changed on the grounds that and Rocket League is still going sturdy, with no signs and symptoms of a sequel. It’s a ways much more likely that Psyonix is operating on a spruced up port for the next-gen consoles. Unfortunately, as of writing, you can not share content or progress between unique platforms and accounts. This is something so one can want to be looked at for a capability PS5 and Xbox Series X port.
Given how the PS5 and Xbox Series X are each backwards well matched with the PS4 and Xbox One, respectively, but, don’t be amazed if the game in no way receives an updated port on the subsequent-gen structures. We’ll must be patient what Psyonix has up its sleeve for the soccar game.
