I'm best friends with Apple and Aurora (obtained their pictures). In all honesty, I can not remember them asking many favors. The only ones I get would be the occasional"can you deliver this apology to a Animal Crossing New Horizons Items person" stuff. I remember in the past it was far more frequent.
Just because folks are complaining doesnt mean they dont like creature crossing matches, that's a false equivalency. I love the AC series but this one just felt as fuck...
Hollow is a great way to explain it. It has lost so much of the charm and magic the older games had (and still have)
It seems just from reading all of the comments like the men and women who love New Horizons and don't have any complaints are individuals who found Animal Crossing either with this particular game or using pocket camp.
Dude, the most vocal critics and the best remarks ARE people who enjoy monster crossing games. Half the time they bring up older AC games with more functionality/features. Read the damn remarks instead of skimming.
More varied and purposeful interaction with villagers are a huge plus, as the villagers and their personalities is a massive attraction for me personally, rather moreso than village/house customization. Decorating stuff is probably the most fleshed out part of it but it's kinda delayed gratification, whereas playing or chatting with your villagers is material that's more immediately facing you.
I kinda wish that the game had a cooking system or something? Perhaps certain villagers like particular dishes or you could make food for parties or something.
Spoilers if you do not want to know about possible future content upgrades, but dataminers have found code that's seemingly related to growing veggies and some kind of cheap Animal Crossing Bells cooking (DIYs possibly?) . I really don't know the full details, but that was posted a while ago, and I would guess it'd be coming around the time of the Harvest Festival if that is still something.
