Local bike shop sees increase in electric bike sales

    Cimmiyotti said it was 2017 when electric bikes really hit off. But it was during COVID-19 when the bicycle retailer saw a major increase in interest for e-bikes.To get more news about waterproof bag for bike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

    “Start of COVID, we definitely had a huge increase. We had our second best year during the start of COVID. Things are leveling off a little bit, we are still increasing,” Cimmiyotti said.

    But even now, he said, “We’re selling about three e-bikes a day. It’s a big market.”

    According to Cimmiyotti, with the local improvements of infrastructure, he’s seen more people wanting to get out on a bike.

    “I know, here in the community, there’s been a lot of bike paths and things have been added on, so definitely seeing an increase in business from local added roads and signs and paths for bicycles,” Cimmiyotti said.

    He said there are benefits to riding an electric bike over a traditional bicycle.

    “You actually burn more fat burning calories. than with a regular bike even though you burned more calories on a regular bike,” Cimmiyotti said.

    He also said, “People are a little bit misled with internet research. So, definitely come in and we’ll explain everything to you.”
