Anti-cancer Properties Of China Green Tea

  •     The anti-cancer effects of China Green Tea are reviewed. According to statistics, more than 20 laboratories in several countries have reported anti-cancer effects of tea extracts and tea polyphenols on different organs in animal experiments. Using 1.25g of green tea and 100mL of boiling water as the only beverage for mice can reduce the lung tumors induced by chemical carcinogens in mice by 36% to 44%, and reduce tumor reproduction by 44% to 60%. Decaffeinated tea and black tea also have the same effect. In addition, treating animals with green or black tea can reduce esophageal cancer, gastric cancer or skin cancer in experimental animals by 70%.
        Studies have also shown that the anti-cancer activity of tea can be best achieved by feeding green tea or black tea at least two weeks before treatment with carcinogens and continuing until 1 week after treatment with carcinogens. Epidemiological surveys show that people who drink more tea have a lower risk of gastric cancer.
