Titanium Castings and Titanium Alloys

  •

    How are titanium castings made?
Machining Graphite Die Titanium Castings – This method allows for simplified modeling and effective control of metallurgical quality. Thicker and larger-sized castings can be precisely produced by this method.
Ceramic Die Titanium Investment Casting - This method produces more precise castings, with details such as logos cast clearly. Large and complex shaped parts can be cast well using this method.

    Advantages of Titanium Castings
Strength and Lightweight: As strong as most common steels and less than 40% lighter
Corrosion Resistance: Almost as resistant to chemical attack as platinum. One of the best candidates for seawater and chemical handling components
Cosmetic appeal: The cosmetic and technical appeal of titanium is even better than that of precious metals, especially in the consumer market

    Titanium alloy information
There are two common cast titanium alloys: Titanium Grade 2 and Titanium Grade 5.
