Generally speaking, Blizzard believes that Amazons are fairly balanced, though the team believes there is room to improve their melee skills by buffing their power and "freeing up skill synergy requirements" in order to encourage more build diversity.
Currently, Blizzard is evaluating synergy requirements, melee skills that they believe are underutilized, and other improvements that will allow melee Amazons to have greater freedom and viability. Moreover, we are considering buffing certain skills in the bow and crossbow tree in order to aid in the improvement of bow gameplay on more difficult difficulties.
The Assassins, on the other hand, are having their martial arts abilities evaluated. Blizzard has stated that the team is re-evaluating how to improve the generation and expenditure of combo points, as well as the synergy requirements, in order to encourage more trap builds.
Barbarians' combat skills are becoming more diverse as a result of this development. As the developer explains, "we're looking into expanding the possibilities with combat skills such as leap attack and grim ward," he or she is considering adding more combat options."In addition, we believe that throwing Barbarians can be more viable, so we are investigating ways to improve the double throw and throwing mastery skills."
Druids are also receiving special attention. Blizzard wants to improve fire skills as well as the ability to launch arctic blasts. It is the developer's opinion that "Drugud fire skills are underperforming."Currently, we are looking into improving some of the physical damage components of fire skills, as well as improving the synergies between fire skills.
"We're also taking a look at potential changes that could affect other elemental skills that are underutilized."The controls for arctic blast will be improved as well, so that it is more fluid to use during gameplay."
Finally, Blizzard has stated that it is working on improving summons for Necromancers, combat skills for Paladins, and armour skills for Sorceresses, among other things. If you'd like to read the blog in its entirety, you can do so by clicking here.
Activision Blizzard is facing a lawsuit filed in July by the state of California (which has since been expanded to include quality assurance and customer service contractors), which alleges years of discrimination and harassment on the part of the gaming company. Since then, Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick has called the company's initial response "tone deaf," employees have staged a walkout, Blizzard president J Allen Brack has resigned, and the ABK Workers Alliance has demanded that the company change its business practices. The lawsuit is still in progress; you can keep up with the latest developments here.
Kotick has reportedly been subpoenaed as part of an investigation into Activision Blizzard's response to sexual misconduct and discrimination complaints lodged by its employees, which began in September and is being conducted by an agency of the United States federal government. Additionally, the company is facing a separate unfair labor practice lawsuit filed by a workers' union in September, which accuses the company of "worker intimidation and union busting."In a separate development, Activision Blizzard reached an agreement with the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission "to settle claims and to further strengthen policies and programs to prevent harassment and discrimination," according to a press release. Afterwards, the company announced the end of forced arbitration, a $250 million initiative to improve diversity, and a significant pay cut for Kotick in an employee letter sent to all of the company's employees.
According to a new report published in November, Bobby Kotick was aware of and suppressed reports of sexual misconduct while in office. Mr. Kotick responded with an official statement, stating that the article in the Wall Street Journal "paints an inaccurate and misleading picture of our company, of me personally, and of my leadership team."In response, the board of directors of Activision Blizzard stated that they "remain confident" in Kotick's ability to lead the company.
