Blizzard Entertainment has released a patch in an attempt to resolve the server and character deletion issues that have plagued D2R ladder items. PezRadar, the game's community manager, posted the patch notes to the game's forum on October 12, before confirming that the update had been rolled out to PCs the following night (on October 13).
The notes are a little on the bare bones side, but they do the job. To "prevent users from accidentally deleting their characters," the team has made general improvements to the character deletion process. A slew of stability and performance enhancements have also been implemented by the developers, including the elimination of crashes that could occur if you launched the game with no existing setting file on your PC or used the legacy toggle after an extended play session. Aside from minor bug fixes and stability improvements, the update also includes improvements to the effects system and game shutdown, as well as other minor bug fixes and stability improvements.
According to the game's subreddit, Buy Diablo 2 Resurrected Items PS5 appears that a small number of people are still reporting instances of game crashes. When the Pandemonium Event kicked off, one player's game crashed after they'd spent a week grinding for nine keys to open the three portals, causing them to lose their progress.
If you haven't been paying attention, cheap Diablo 2 resurrected ladder items has been plagued by a number of bugs and other issues. We previously reported that Blizzard was investigating a number of server outages earlier this week.
Since the remaster's release a few weeks ago, connectivity issues have also been a source of contention for players. While there appear to be some teething problems with the new PC game, it is hoped that it will be in fighting shape very soon.
Activision Blizzard is facing a lawsuit filed in July by the state of California (which has since been expanded to include quality assurance and customer service contractors), which alleges years of discrimination and harassment on the part of the gaming company. Since then, Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick has called the company's initial response "tone deaf," employees have staged a walkout, Blizzard president J Allen Brack has resigned, and the ABK Workers Alliance has demanded that the company change its business practices. The lawsuit is still in progress; you can keep up with the latest developments here. Kotick has reportedly been subpoenaed as part of an investigation into Activision Blizzard's response to sexual misconduct and discrimination complaints lodged by its employees, which began in September and is being conducted by an agency of the United States federal government. Additionally, the company is facing a separate unfair labor practice lawsuit filed by a workers' union in September, which accuses the company of "worker intimidation and union busting."It appears that Blizzard's highly anticipated remaster of the iconic Diablo 2 game, Diablo 2 Resurrected, has largely failed to impress the game's fanbase, despite all of the hype surrounding it. Players are looking to the third installment in the series, Diablo 3, to breathe new life into the franchise with Season 25, despite the fact that the developers are sticking to their guns and refusing to add any new content to the classic title.
However, while some believe that the developers made the right decision by choosing not to change the game's content, others believe that they should have included something new. In order to appease both sides, one fan has come up with a potentially game-changing idea that could save the remaster from its current predicament. They write that "when creating a new character, we would not only have the option to choose between D2Classic and D2LoD, but we would also have the option to choose D2R+ as a third option," implying that this game mode would be an additional, optional track.
"D2Classic and D2LoD would remain as they are currently, with only minor quality of life changes and bug fixes," the developers explain further."D2R+, on the other hand, could feature significant balance changes as well as new content such as new items, runewords, and endgame areas."As soon as this new mode is implemented, you will have the option of either keeping your existing character in D2LoD or transferring them to D2R+."This appears to be the perfect crowd-pleaser, with the conclusion that "everyone can play the game the way they want to and nobody is left out."
