Karamja could do with RuneScape gold some updating. It's a massive square looking south of Brimhaven. Although Legends' Quest wasn't something I played prior to losing my membership the Kharazi jungle appears as if it could be traveled north to south in less than ten seconds.
I was reading a novel that was set in England around 1150 during the summer. To get from one town to the next the characters had to walk for several days. Most of this time was spent in forest areas that were not governed by law, and in which there was always a risk of attack from bandits, outlaws, and so on.
While the story is fictional I believe that it is accurate in most cases regarding land between major cities. The feeling of this is not present in Runescape only in the Wilderness, as well as the Kharidian dry desert. These two places are huge and risky (especially for an inexperienced traveler), but not overloaded with content.
First of all, the lodestone network must be eliminated. Even for those who only require a walk one time, it can kill the sense of adventure. The second issue is that the size of clan camp must be reduced by at least 25%. It removed a significant (in size) forest and caused the Falador-Rimmington-Port Sarim area to become unrealistically joined together.
Lastly, I think there are additional dangers to the "wilderness" between towns. This could include outlaws attacking you or natural events. Jagex attempted to solve this issue by introducing highwaymen of level 5. They are insignificant for players above level 10, and they don't pose any dangers for those smart enough not to run. The dangers you face would be correlated to your skill level and would be less common in higher levels. They could appear out of nowhere and fight just you, like old random incidents. This could also to reduce botting. I would recommend the expansion of the map, but buy old school rs gold that isn't easy.
