P2pah - Over on the WoW subreddit

  • To be clear, this is not happening from the live version of the game but WOW Classic TBC Gold on its own public servers. It is here that Blizzard tests upcoming changes to the match, such as the upcoming level cap squish (maximum level players will now only be level 50, together with the new level cap being 60 when Shadowlands releases) along with the overhauled new player experience. Butsometime after this autumn, this event will start on live servers--and when it's anything like what is happening now, it is going to be a bloodbath.

I am not exactly sure if the event is working as intended. Right now, Stormwind is absolutely overrun with ghouls that are rampaging through the streets and slaughtering everything that goes. The auction house, vendors, and even the bank are all unusable--which might be frustrating for players who, when the event is truly reside, are just trying to go about their day to day company.

Over on the WoW subreddit, players also have found ways to attract the zombie infestation outside capital cities, making entire areas of Azeroth uninhabitable. It's funny to see how much this mirrors a true zombie plague, as slain players and NPCs both change to ghouls so their numbers are constantly growing.

Fortunately, WoW game developer Jeremy Feasel affirmed the zombie invasion portion of the event will only be active for a couple of hours through the day instead of all the time. I am actually a bit disappointed with that, honestly, because I think it'd be interesting to find an all-out, 24/7 invasion that gamers have to try and contain--something akin to World of Warcraft's infamous Corrupted Blood incident.

The Scourge Invasion is only 1 portion of Shadowlands' pre-launch event. Players may also venture into the frigid wastes of Northrend to fight bosses and make strong loot, and there's also a new narrative quest to try. If you're a WoW subscriber, you can check all this out today by following these steps to cheap WOW TBC Classic Gold access the public test server. Otherwise, you can wait till the event necessarily launches sometime in the forthcoming months.
