Monsters normally have one special weakness, and if you use their own assault style, that's also fairly effective. That being said, you need to understand that this weakness is somewhat typical; Fire Giants, as an example, show a weakness from Slash strikes. This means that melee generally is very effective against them, and they are especially feeble against slash strikes - but beat and stab function OSRS Money fine. That being said, you can hardly hit scratch them together with mage.
