How to use white corundum correctly

  • White corundum is a common refractory raw material. It is refined after electrification and melting, with higher hardness and slightly lower flexibility than brown corundum. fused alumina vs aluminium oxide White corundum has a wide range of uses. It plays an important role in sandblasting, polishing, and grinding. However, only the correct use of white corundum can maximize the use of white corundum.

The use of white corundum mixing

Add water directly to the raw material of white corundum and stir evenly before construction. It should be noted that a forced mortar mixer should be used during mixing. The water-cement ratio should be controlled between 0.5-0.7:1, and the consistency should be controlled within the range of 65-80mm. The time should be greater than 5 minutes.

It is strictly forbidden to add any auxiliary materials to the material to prevent chemical reaction or physical shrinkage from cracking or hollowing of the plaster layer. The materials should be used as soon as they are mixed, and should not be stirred too much at a time. Generally, the white corundum that is stirred should be used up within 2 hours. The white corundum material stored overtime is strictly prohibited.

The use of white corundum construction

During the construction process, it should be noted that the thickness of each layer of thermal insulation mortar should be controlled within 10 mm, and the construction must be squeezed hard to ensure a firm connection with the base layer and the bottom layer to be smeared.click here  After the surface has received a little water, scrape it down with a scraper, and maintain it naturally for 24 hours. After the hand pressure reaches a certain strength, apply another layer.

When the final construction reaches the thickness of the ash cake, use a scraper to smooth it, and use a wooden trowel to make it smooth and vertical to meet the requirements of the acceptance specification. At the end of the plastering, after 24 hours of natural curing, use a sprayer to spray water for 3 days, and the cumulative curing shall not be less than 1 week.
