Buy The Sneaker, Following their Air Jordan 1s in 2018, Union Los Angeles' next Jordan Brand collaboration will be the Air Jordan 4. The Union x Air Jordan 4 Off Noir is the latest collaborative footwear silhouette set to launch between Jordan Brand and Union Los Angeles. The duo have teamed up before to huge success and this upcoming release looks set to be just as popular as the first collaboration. A shortened tongue measured to the specifications of Chris Gibbs, Union's owner, is folded over and stitched down. The wearer has the ability to remove the stitching to obtain a traditional Air Jordan 4 look.
The Union x Air Jordan 4 "Off Noir" is one of two desirable colorways produced exclusively for the Los Angeles boutique and Jordan Brand's Summer 2020 collaboration. Opting for the legendary Air Jordan 4, a model designed by Tinker Hatfield, this collaboration follows on from the ultra-hyped Air Jordan 1s that launched from Union and Jordan Brand as a collab last summer. Applying minor yet powerful transformations with the folded tongue and reworked forefoot eyelets, Union manages to reinterpret the Air Jordan 4 from 1989 with a color palette that embodies the 80's and 90's – a theme consistent throughout their entire collection of footwear and apparel.
2020 Jordans, The "Off Black" or "Off Noir" design of Union's Air Jordan 4 collection features a radically new and exciting color scheme that incorporates elements of vintage sportswear. Releasing alongside a Guava Ice colorway that will be exclusive to Union stores, the Off Noir Jordan 4s are based on the original sketch of the AJ4, and showcase never-before-seen features such as the stitched down tongue. Chris Gibbs (Union founder) adds his signature touch to the Union LA x Air Jordan release in the form of the neat colorway and the translucent wings that support the laces on either side. Pink and grey plastic eyelet accents and a translucent lace support wing add to the unique appearance of the shoe. Additional style cues include white netting on the tongue and mid-panel, pink "Nike Air" on the black plastic heel cup, and a vintage inspired yellow sole.
