It was during the NFL year, New York

  • I've never played Tecmo Bowl. This is the truth from God. I've seen others mut coins madden 22 playing the game a lot. But I knew what I could do. I knew exactly what the Tecmo Bowl man could do. It's great to hear people praise me from that game.

A part of your video game return to Madden includes celebrating Nike's legendary Bo Knows campaign. Let us go back to the beginning. How did Bo Knows present the idea about Bo Knows to you?

We found Bo Knows accidentally. Directors, writers, sketchers We were sitting around going over some storyboards for our next shoot. We wanted to trim the length of the script because it was slightly too long. Everyone was voicing their opinion about this or that. I just said, 'Why can't we do this? ... How should we shift this over here, and put this here, put it together and then cut it down to five or six moments?' They looked at me with a smile and thought "Wow. That'll probably work. Someone across the table glanced at me , and said 'Bo Knows!' And it stuck. The table was empty and nobody sat down to washed their heads or stayed up all night contemplating that catchy phrase. It happened while sitting at the table discussing shoots.

Before you got your signature shoe that was you had the Nike Air Bo Turf, in 1990, you were the headliner of the Nike Air Trainer 3, that became known as your shoe. What are your memories about those shoes? Air Trainer 3?

Let me explain it in this way. In 1969 the year I was in the first grade of my life in rural Alabama, during the winter, it was in 30s in the outside. And I had to go to school barefoot. There were no shoes. I'm not saying this to garner an apology or a sad story. But I remember my brother standing just a block away from our house. I'm in the front yard. The sister I was with stood just a short distance from him,, and another sister was at the stop for buses. My sister who was stood at the bus station and saw that the bus was on top a couple of blocks further away, she'd yell to my other sister. She would then yell at my brother, and my brother would yell to me. After that, I'd run out the door , barefoot. At the point that my brother was able to reach my first sister, I would've caught him by the time he reached me. At the time we made it at the stop for buses, I was 15 to 20 yards from my sister and brother. From going to school barefoot in the winter of '69 until growing up and wearing an athletic shoe that was inspired by my mother ... My life was fortunate.

After 30 or so years, people continue to brag about the shoes they have and also collect the shoe. In the last few weeks an old friend my own, Anthony Anderson, the comedian, texted me saying, 'Hey Bo! I'm performing a show on each of my sneaker. I can't find any Air-Trainers from you. I'm looking for a pair from your collection!' It happened that I had a pair sitting on my desk. I said, 'Hey! I have the shoes here. I'm able to send them to you. It's these moments that when I'm able to sit in my seat and think, "Wow.'

It was during the NFL year, New York Giants running back Nike athletics player Saquon Barkley received his own rendition of Air Trainer 3. What was it like to have him pay homage you with the sneakers?

I gave him those shoes. It was like me saying"Grasshopper, it's your time now to carry this torch. And you have to keep it up.' I know that Saquon will perform a superb job at it. Saquon is a very good child. He reminds me a much of me. He is strong and has his head straight. This is the cheap Madden nfl 22 coins thing that amazes me most. It's not his statistics. I love the way he conducts himself.
