The Old School RuneScape DMM Championship is in fiery preparati

  • On Friday, the new competitive DMM Championship will be open to all members, and the old-school RuneScape players can also participate in this competition. This is indeed good news. This game is a part of Jagex's contribution to the PlayApartTogether program in the gaming industry.
The month-long tournament will open this Friday (May 1st 2020) at 1 pm BST. All players begin with fresh characters and race to level up as quickly as possible. Visit https://www.goldrs.com/runescape-items to buy cheap RS Gold. As usual, DMM takes place on a dangerous PVP server and when players are killed, they’ll forfeit substantial progress.
After the opening stages, the top 2,000 contestants advance to the live finale on May 30th, where they'll battle it out until only 256 players remain. These last 256 will then participate during a 1v1 knockout until a victor emerges.
Along with the player prizes listed below, Jagex will donate £25,000 to its three partnered psychological state charities – CPSL Mind, The Prince’s Trust, and Rise Above The Disorder – as a part of its £100,000 commitment to support their work during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Last year, developer Jagex came under attack when the DCMS concluded its inquiry into ‘immersive and addictive technologies’, citing RuneScape as a selected example, where one player built up debts of quite £50,000 through spending on microtransactions within the RuneScape Gold game.
While it’s not traditional gambling like that from not gam stop casinos, some game mechanics have come under attack for prompting similar addictive behaviour patterns in its players.
In more recent news, Jagex was sold for $530m.But players need to be aware that Old School RuneScape members who want to participate in the DMM tournament must log in to a designated server on Friday, such as World 401-412.
