Prepare for the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update by followi

  • Animal Crossing Direct provided us with a veritable banquet of new features, items, and locations that will be available in the free Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update 2.0.  There will be plenty to choose from, from new establishments such as Brewster's cafe, the Roost, to the return of a host of other familiar faces who will be contributing to our island getaway experiences. Everything in the Direct was absolutely jam-packed with brand-new content, and if you're anything like us, you're probably still reeling from everything you witnessed during the showcase. For those looking for a quick recap, we've compiled a comprehensive list of everything you need to know in one convenient location, including the release date and all of the new content that will be included with Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update 2.0.

The release date for Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update 2.0 has been set.
Following the announcement made during the Direct, Nintendo confirmed that Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update 2.0 will be the final major free update to arrive on our shores. However, the good news is that we won't have to wait too long to get our hands on the new content, as the update is set to launch on November 5, 2021, which is rather exciting.

Brewster's Theanimal crossing nook miles ticket Cafe is a cafe in Brewster, Massachusetts.
No doubt it was exciting to see The Nook Miles Tickets for the first time in New Horizons, even though the Direct began with what we were already expecting before delivering a slew of unexpected twists and turns throughout the rest of the show. As you may be aware, you can pay a visit to the cafe and indulge in one of Brewster's signature concoctions. Similarly to previous entries, you'll be able to share a hot cup of coffee with your fellow villagers, including Isabelle, who we see stopping by for a quick break during a particularly slow work day. There will also be an Amiibo call center phone, where you can use amiibos to invite characters of your choosing to join you, as well as a coffee station where you can enjoy a cup of coffee with a large number of visiting friends simultaneously. It just appears to be extremely comfortable.

    Tours on the Kapp'n boat
Kapp'n the sea turtle has made his triumphant return, bringing with him new boat tours that will transport us to mysterious islands. We'll be able to board a small boat at the pier on our own islands, where Kapp'n will serenade us with sea shanties as we travel across the ocean. Each round-trip tour will cost you 1000 Nook Miles, and the islands you'll be taken to are exclusive locations only known to Kapp'n and his crew of mercenaries. What distinguishes these islands is that they may contain new flora for us to discover, or they may be in a different season or at a different time of day than your home island, which appears to be particularly useful if you're trying to collect specific fish or bugs.

Is it possible to move the date forward to the following month? Nintendo has revealed that a slew of new features will be added to its quarantine hit Animal Crossing: New Horizons when it launches November 5. A 23-minute video streamed on October 15 unpacks all of the new content that will be available through the game's last major free update, as well as its first paid DLC expansion, which will be released in the coming weeks. Brewster will run ACNH items in Version 2.0, Kapp'n will give tours, Katrina will tell fortunes, and Harriet will teach us some of the 11 new hairstyles that will be available in Version 2.0.  We'll also get nine different fence options, new lighting and ceiling decor, a permanent ladder placement, an increase in the bridge and incline cap, more storage, and new furniture items (including the much-loved Froggy Chair), among other improvements. Players will be able to participate in a variety of new activities. Growing crops that can be used in recipes, leading group stretching, hanging out with well-known NPCs at Harv's Plaza, acquiring and planting Gyroids, and taking selfies with villagers (who will finally be able to invite us into their homes) are just some of the new features we can look forward to.
