New World: What Weapon To Use As A Starting Point

  • Weapons to Use As a Starting Point
The weapon mastery system in New World is a fairly complex system that is overall quite interesting. The Warhammer and the Hatchet are my preferred starting weapons, even though you do start with a Sword and a Shield. This is due to the fact that the basic attacks of these weapons can stagger an opponent, giving you more time to deal damage while avoiding being damaged yourself. Besides melee attacks, the Hatchet has a ranged attack with infinite ammo that is ideal for luring in enemies from long distances or tagging enemies for experience in crowded areas. Other weapons, such as the cheap new world coins, may become available to you early on, but these will be less useful until you have mastered the art of crafting the ammunition for them. When it comes to staff, they are fine to begin with, but because you are locked in place while using their basic attacks, they can be difficult to use at first and will be better suited to group roles later in the game.

    Areas to Begin
When you have finished with the tutorial, you will be dropped on the shores of your first zone. Because your starting zone is determined at random, forming a group with friends can be difficult at first. In the beginning area, you'll complete a number of tutorial-style quests that will familiarize you with the game's various systems, such as crafting and skinning animals. While you will be tempted to leave the area and begin exploring right away, completing these opening quests is the best way to get started because they provide valuable experience and reward you with items that you can use right away, such as new weapons and armor.1. The Crafting Industry in the New World
The ability to craft is one of the most important aspects of the New World's gameplay. Since the Alpha, a great deal of work has been done on the crafting system, and the system is now very compelling, making those long resource-gathering missions a lot more enjoyable. Having said that, crafting appears to be a game feature that is reserved for the endgame. Sure, you can spend your early game time crafting random linen armor, but it isn't until much later in the game that you can begin to craft more powerful items and gear, and, more importantly, that you can begin to sell these items for a significant profit. Areas containing rare resources are frequently overrun with high-level monsters. You will still need to level grind in order to take on these challenges. Crafting has a plethora of separate skill trees, such as Weaving and Smelting, as well as a whole set of skill trees for gathering materials, such as Logging and Mining, to choose from. You can either work on these steadily as you play or devote all of your attention to one particular area.

Items that can be consumed and quick slots
When you first start the game, you will have access to two quick slots, which will be used to store consumables. These items, particularly food and potions, are extremely important. Food, for example, replenishes your health while you are not engaged in combat, allowing you to regain full health between enemies. This is essential. Potions, on the other hand, provide a quick burst of healing, though there is a brief animation that you must go through, so make sure you have enough new world coins so that you don't take any additional damage in the process.
